Get involved

Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers

Dolly Parton will join Kenny Rogers in a final tribute concert this October.
As the country star prepares to hang up his microphone, Rogers, 78, will be joined by special guests including Idina Menzel, Alison Krauss and the Flaming Lips for the farewell concert in Nashville on 25 October.
But the biggest draw of all will be Dolly. It's 12 years since the pair last performed their smash hit duet Islands in the Stream in front of a live audience.
Performing with Kenny for the last time ever on Oct. 25 is going to be emotional for both of us, but it’s also going to be very special. Even though Kenny may be retiring, as he fades from the stage, our love for each other will never fade away.”

The forthcoming concert will mark only the third time Kenny and Dolly have sung together in 27 years - and both have agreed it will be the last.
"We do love it when we get a chance to be together," said Kenny. "She’s everything that everybody thinks she is - and more. I’m so excited about her being there."
This will be our last time on stage - forever. It will be worthwhile to come and see that

Highlights of Kenny Rogers set on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury 2013.
Kenny, who is currently on a farewell tour of the US, has been in the music industry for more than 60 years and sold more than 100 million records.
He famously played the legends slot at Glastonbury in 2013 (above).
He told Billboard he was "uncomfortable" about the tribute concert but promised "a fun night".
"It strikes me as something for me to get together with a lot of the people I have met over the years, and say goodbye legitimately."
He also persuaded Dolly to head to the Pyramid stage herself the following year for a performance generally regarded as one of the festival's best.
