Actress Kim Novak, best known for her starring role in the 1958 classic "Vertigo," has been diagnosed with breast cancer, her manager said.
"It was caught early by a routine yearly mammogram and is undergoing treatment," Sue Cameron told the Hollywood Reporter. "All her doctors say she is in fantastic physical shape and should recover very well."
Novak, 77, also held notable roles in "Picnic," "Pal Joey" and "Bell, Book and Candle." She last appeared in "Liebestraum" in 1991, but her scenes were cut after she battled with its director.
Cameron said Novak works out three times a week with a trainer and rides horses daily. She lives in Oregon with her husband, Dr. Robert Malloy.
