EBU DEBATE ON THE KIND OF NEWS

In advance of the upcoming EBU General Assembly in Azerbaijan (1-2 July 2010), the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has launched an online debate on what kind of news audiences are looking for. Where do they find the news they want and who do they trust? Is free, independent and diverse information what audiences are looking for? Readers are invited to discuss their thoughts about news today and give their views using social media networks (YouTube, Twitter, Audioboo and Facebook). Their opinion will feed into the debate and discussion on the value of independent and unbiased news in today’s multiplatform society.
