EURONEWS LAUNCHES A GREEK SERVICE

The international news channel announces the launch of Euronews Greek, dedicated to Greece, Cyprus and to the Greek-speaking audience all over the world.
The new channel is the 12th linguistic service for Euronews and begins its broadcasts under the Cypriot presidency of the European Union. It will be Euronews' first to be adapted locally and broadcast from Lyon.
The wholly-owned subsidiary is based in a state-of-the-art office in the centre of Athens, which will accommodate the Greek newsroom.
The service began broadcasting on Tuesday from 10AM CET, few hours before on gr.euronews.com (also in live streaming), on Euronews Express and Live mobile apps and soon via Euronews Radio. 80% of TV homes in Greece already receive Euronews (i.e. 3,739,000 households). In Cyprus, Euronews covers 100% of the TV population (i.e. 300,000 households).
