THE FUTURE OF ROCK

THE FUTURE OF ROCK!!!! Toronto's Classic Rock Station Q107 welcomed up and coming rockers Motion Device on Wednesday, February 29th, 2012. 10 year old vocalist Sara Menoudakis, along with her 12 year old brother David (drums), 14 year old sister Andrea (bass), 17 year old cousin Josh (guitar) and 18 year old friend Alex (guitar), were greeted by the one and only Kim Mitchell during his afternoon classic rock show. The band performed a rock mash-up of Led Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love' and Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid'.

The response to this event was incredible!! The band has gained many fans since the segment took place and Kim and the Q107 crew were amazed by the band's performance!!

This was the very first time Sara and Motion Device ever performed in a radio station studio. The guitar amps were mic'd, with Sara and Andrea (bass) being plugged directly into Kim's Pro Tools set-up. Although very different to his usual drum kit, David had a great time playing the Roland electronic kit provided by Q107. Everything was fed into headphones, and the band got a taste of what it's like to play LIVE in a radio studio setting. The sound levels were somewhat difficult to control but in the world of radio things have to get done very quickly and we want to thank the crew for taking the time to set the band up the best they could. Kim mentioned that he has seen a lot of famous musicians play at Q107 but Motion Device was probably his most enjoyable of all. THANKS KIM and thank you to Q107 for having us!!!!

Motion Device plans to make a lot more visits in the future, when they start ROCKING THE WORLD!!!!
