VIDEO: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, an unusual graduation took place Saturday at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. Vice President Mike Pence gave the address in person as nearly 1,000 graduated from the military school.

ON THIS DAY IN AMERICAN HISTORY On April 20, 1986, Chicago Bulls basketball star Michael Jordan scores 63 points in a playoff game against the Boston Celtics. It remains the most points scored in a postseason game. Despite the performance, the Bulls lost in double overtime. The Celtics swept the Bulls in the three-game series and went on to win the NBA championship. Jordan would have to wait until 1991 to win the first of his six championships.

Nearly four weeks after imposing a stringent nationwide lockdown, India took tentative steps to restart its economy, easing restrictions on farm-based businesses and some industries in areas relatively unaffected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Authorities in Pakistan said Monday at least one soldier and five terrorists were killed in clashes in a volatile district that borders Afghanistan. The early morning violence in North Waziristan erupted after a group of armed militants assaulted a security outpost in the former terrorist stronghold.
