VIDEO: President Donald Trump signed an executive order this month designed to strengthen the country’s cybersecurity workforce, the front line against hackers, domestic and foreign. With 7 billion internet-connected devices in the world, and numbers expected to rise, the threat is growing.

On May 13, 1607, about 100 English colonists land on the west bank of the James River in Virginia and establish the first permanent English settlement in North America. The settlement, called Jamestown as it was named after then King James I, was nearly wiped out several times due to starvation, frigid winters and fighting with Native Americans. Despite the hardships, new settlers kept coming, and by 1612, colonists were growing tobacco as a cash crop. By 1630, over a million and a half pounds of tobacco were being exported from Jamestown every year.
Concern is growing among hundreds of Yazidis who fled their homes to go to Lebanon due to the Turkish intrusion of northwestern Syria, as the religious minority faces a possible forced return by Lebanese authorities.
China said Monday it would impose tariffs on $60 billion worth of imports from the United States, retaliating after President Donald Trump boosted taxes on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods sent to the U.S. and moved to impose duties on another $300 billion of Chinese exports.
