Reaching out to diverse audiences to deliver content which resonates with their specific interests and needs is a tech-savvy process, as well as a matter of programming skills and (why not!) programming philosophy.

At our Annual Conference in Novi Sad the hosts from Radio-television of Vojvodina will showcase their multifaceted programmes aimed to inform and entertain young people in 2019, when the city is the European Youth Capital.

Luca Milano, Director of RAI Ragazzi, will disclose the secrets of how to deliver content for children and younger audiences with the aid of contemporary transmedia storytelling.

Further on we will have the opportunity to discuss how and why the omnichannel approach challenges the almost “mantra”-practice of “online first”.
Rutger Verhoeven of BNNVARA and Erik van Heeswijk of VPRO from the Netherlands will throw down the glove to the separation and prioritising of communication channels and tell us why it is better to be on all of them in a planned way.

Between the “We Media” and the YouTube phenomena lies an uncharted new area. The Head of New Digital Projects at RSI, Switzerland, Luciano Lavagetti will take us through it.
We could easily place all these within the bosom of technology development, but at the end of the day programming is about creating bonds with the audiences. How can we reshape critics, protests, questions and inquiries to use them as a mirror and a learning tool rather than discard them as a pressure and a nuisance? What are the challenges of open dialog between content creators and the public? Ilinka Todorovski, ombudsperson for RTV Slovenia, will share her ideas about dealing with feedback and provide useful tips.
