Struggling celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is back on top after his latest book reached number one in the Christmas cook book sales.
He's had a torrid year with the collapse of his business empire in May with the loss of 1,000 jobs.
All 22 of the Jamie’s Italian restaurants in Britain, his Steakhouse Barbecoa and his restaurant Fifteen closed.
But tapping in to the plant-based food fashion with his ‘Veg: Easy & Delicious Meals’ book has put him back on top.
It has sold twice the nearest rival, according to Tesco, and four times the third placed Hairy Bikers in the run up to Christmas.
“The bulk of celebrity chef book sales for Christmas take place in November and Jamie is so far ahead that he can’t be caught,” said Tesco’s book buyer Beth Farrar.
