The producer of the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody", which focused on the life of Queen singer Freddie Mercury, is getting ready to introduce us to the big screen, another historic 60s and 70s band, the Bee Gees.
According to Deadline , Graham King, in collaboration with Paramount Pictures, and the production company Sister, will be the main contributors to the film.
Paramount has acquired the rights to the Bee Gees songs for King's sake and will therefore be able to use them in the film - unlike Bowie's Stardust and Hendrix, Jimi: All Is By My Side, the which will be shot without the songs of the two protagonists.
Graham King has had enormous success with his 2018 movie "Bohemian Rhapsody", which raised 800 million euros, while also giving Rami Malek the chance to win the Oscar for Freddie Mercury.
We should also note that films about the lives of Elvis Presley by Buzz Lurman, Aritha Franklin, Bob Marley and Carol King are being filmed for this time.
The Bee Gees, created in 1958 by the brothers Bari, Robin and Morris, are considered to be the pioneers of disco performers. They have sold over 220 million records worldwide and are one of the most successful collecting bands of all time.
In 1997, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The reference to them says: "Only Elvis, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney and Garth Brooks have sold more than the Bee Gees."
After Morris' sudden death in 2003, the band dissolved after 45 years of existence. In 2009, the remaining members, Bari and Robin, agreed to reshape their band, as well as launching concerts. But in May 2012, Robin died, leaving Bari as the only member of the group.
