VIDEO: Many new refugees in America experience culture shock when they first arrive in the United States. Many have to deal with a new language and holidays. But settled refugees can play a big role in helping new arrivals adapt to life in the U.S. One example is the Ethiopian Community Center, which hosts a Thanksgiving meal every year for new refugees. 
ON THIS DAY IN AMERICAN HISTORY
On November 27, 1940, martial artist and film star Bruce Lee is born in San Francisco. Lee’s parents were from Hong Kong, and the family returned there in 1941. Lee moved back to the U.S. in 1959, enrolled at the University of Washington and opened a martial arts school. Lee appeared on some U.S. television shows, but returned to Hong Kong where he became an action movie superstar. His most popular movie, Enter the Dragon was released shortly after Lee died of brain edema in in 1973. The movie grossed over $200 million and made Lee an American icon.
With U.S.-Turkish relations at their lowest ebb in decades, the future of a critical American air base in Turkey is increasingly in the spotlight. The vast Incirlik Air Base, located in southern Turkey close to Syria, has been a longstanding symbol of U.S.-Turkish cooperation.
What is driving people all over the world into the streets to protest? In the Middle East, protesters say it started with desperation and anger, and now, there is no going back.
VIDEO: Thanksgiving in the U.S. is right around the corner. Historically, it has meant big profits for cranberry farmers as the fruits of their labor appeared on traditional Thanksgiving tables across the country. But crashing prices over the past decade have sent farmers looking elsewhere to make ends meet.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has hosted leaders of Afghanistan’s Taliban insurgency and discussed efforts aimed at finding a negotiated settlement to the Afghan war.
