EMINEM NUMBER 1 FOR A THIRD WEEK

Eminem led Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for a third week on Thursday, a day after losing his crown on the albums chart.

His track "Love the Way You Lie," featuring Rihanna, held Katy Perry's former chart-topper "California Gurls" at No. 2. But Perry's follow-up, "Teenage Dream," jumped 13 places to No. 7. Both tunes come from her upcoming album, also called "Teenage Dream," set for U.S. and Canadian release on August 24.

Eminem's album, "Recovery," slipped to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart on Wednesday, its five-week reign ended by the new Avenged Sevenfold release.

Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" held at No. 3 on the Hot 100. "Airplanes" by B.o.B, featuring Hayley Williams, was also unchanged, at No. 4. Enrique Iglesias' "I Like It," featuring Pitbull, rose one to No. 5.

Mike Posner's "Cooler Than Me" was also up one, to No. 6, and Travie McCoy's "Billionaire" fell three to No. 8. Usher claimed the final two spots as "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love," featuring Pitbull, jumped three to No. 9, and former chart-topper "OMG" fell two to No. 10.

Sugarland landed the best-ever Billboard Hot 100 entry for a country duo or group as "Stuck Like Glue" claimed the top debut at No. 20. The entry falls just shy of the act's best overall peak on the list, which occurred when "All I Want to Do" reached No. 18 in July 2008. The track comes from the duo's fourth studio album "The Incredible Machine," due October 19.

Also debuting was Kenny Chesney at No. 96 with "The Boys of Fall," the first single from his upcoming set "Hemingway's Whiskey," due September 28. Expect a big Hot 100 jump next week as first-week download sales will figure into the song's ranking.

Also expected to make a strong debut next week is Taylor Swift with "Mine." The first single from her upcoming "Speak Now" album went to radio and iTunes on Wednesday. A top-10 Hot debut is likely, with a No. 1 entry not out of the question.
