The latest series finale of RuPaul's Drag Race has been recorded "virtually", US broadcaster VH1 has confirmed.
A majority of the show's 12th series was recorded in 2019, before the coronavirus pandemic.
But the final episode had not been recorded. The finale is usually recorded closer to the broadcast date, to stop spoilers being leaked.
Instead of the annual "reunion" episode, host RuPaul Charles and 12 competitors have recorded a "virtual slumber party", which recaps moments from the series so far.
A week later, the series finale will see competitors perform a lip-sync battle "virtually", VH1 said.
The winner will be crowned on 29 May in the US, with the episode available to stream in the UK on 30 May.
