The first of the migrants from the caravan criticized by President Trump have entered the United States for processing, while dozens more eagerly await their chance at the American Dream. At the moment, the Central American group of more than 150 people is in a holding pattern at Tijuana’s US-Mexico port of entry, where many are hoping to receive asylum.

On May 1, 1931, the Empire State Building is dedicated in New York. At the time, the 102-story structure is the world’s tallest skyscraper. The Empire State Building loses its title as world’s tallest building in 1972, when New York’s World Trade Center opens. (The Empire State Building towers high above the New York City skyline in 1936.)
