Hampton Forge Ltd. announced that it is collaborating with Chef Maria Loi on Mediterranean-inspired collections encompassing flatware, cutlery, cookware and ceramics that will be branded as Loi by Hampton Forge.
Loi by Hampton Forge will be unveiled via private appointments during the upcoming International Home + Housewares Show.
“We are very excited to partner with such a creative and highly recognized culinarian and innovator.  We feel our collaboration with Chef Loi will extend her true passion of the Mediterranean lifestyle and cuisine into the consumer's home. She shares the same values of high-quality craftsmanship and sophisticated, meaningful style that we have always felt belong in the kitchen,” said Suso Balanzá, svp/sales and marketing, Hampton Forge.
Loi by Hampton Forge will include three distinctive flatware, cutlery and cookwarecollections based on individual themes. Taverna is said to embrace the warm, convivial mood captured in both the food and social aspect of Greek “tavernas.” Athena is reminiscent of the classicism of ancient Greek ruins, art and architecture, and Santorini personifies easy-going, coastal elegance with the vibrant, sun-kissed, warm hues found in the Greek Isles, according to the company.
Loi, a gourmet chef and restaurateur, is often described as “the Martha Stewart of Greece,” according to her website. Her new restaurant, Loi Estiatorio, opened this month in New York City. A television chef in Greece and author of dozens of cook books, her latest book, The Greek Diet, features Mediterranean recipes.
“I’m excited to collaborate with Hampton Forge in this venture. The partnership made sense to me because they are a family-owned company and I create lines for families,” said Chef Maria Loi.
