Lively musical-comedy starring Doris Day as a tomboy in a small Indiana town before World War I who falls for college student Gordon MacRae, much to the dismay of her banker father. Partially based on Boothe Tarkington's "Penrod" stories, the film also stars Leon Ames, Rosemary DeCamp and Billy Gray; songs include the title tune, "'Til We Meet Again", "Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit Bag".
