Lil Wayne tops Billboard

Never mind his apparent affection for animal print pants: Lil Wayne's officially landed at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.

According to Billboard, Weezy's album "Tha Carter IV," which went on sale digitally immediately following the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28, bowed at No. 1 this week.

It's the third No. 1 for Lil Wayne, who previously accomplished the feat with "Tha Carter III" and "I Am Not A Human Being."

Despite being leaked - and garnering not-so-favorable reviews - "Tha Carter IV's" sales totaled to 964,000 units sold, making it the biggest sales week for a hip-hop album, or from a male artist, since Wayne's "Tha Carter III." (That album sold 1.01 million when it debuted in June 2008.)

It looks like the rapper was right about the album's leaks not really being a bad thing.

"It just means people want to hear it," he told MTV. "I mean, 'cause there're people's albums that come out that can be leaked and don't leak, so I'm glad mines leaked."
