The year 2018 proved to be one of change in U.S. politics. Opposition Democrats won back control of the House of Representatives in the November midterm elections, and that could have a profound impact on the next two years of Donald Trump’s presidency.

On December 26, 1941, Winston Churchill becomes the first British prime minister to address the U.S. Congress. The speech came just weeks after the U.S. entered World War II in the wake of the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. During his speech, Churchill urged Congress to back President Franklin D. Roosevelt and to defeat the Axis powers.
Imagine being on the bridge of a ship navigating through space with your crew’s survival at risk, then stepping onto a river raft to battle aliens in a swamp, and finally flying through the air, all in one night. All this and more are possible at a futuristic micro amusement park called Two Bit Circus in Los Angeles .
Many parts of Iraq that IS once controlled have been rebuilt, often by home and business owners who survived the war. International organizations, the government and local aid groups are also present, but frustration is growing at the slow pace. 
In 2018, technology firms such as Facebook and Google faced more scrutiny and negative press over their handling of data breaches and online speech. The issue may mean new rules and more regulations in the future.
More than 750,000 Rohingya Muslim refugees who fled military attacks in Myanmar remain in Bangladesh camps as future repatriation and resettlement plans remain unclear. Across the sprawling camps in Cox’s Bazar, close to a million Rohingya Muslim refugees remain in limbo .
