JAMAICA PAYS TRIBUTE TO BOB MARLEY

Artists in Jamaica are paying tribute to reggae great Bob Marley in the Trench Town community that inspired some of his most famous songs.

Several concerts are scheduled starting yesterday to honor Marley on his birthday. They will be held in front of the tenement where Marley lived in the 1960s and which remains impoverished and crime-ridden.

Marley's musician sons Stephen and Damian are expected to play today.

Marley would have turned 66 today. He died from cancer in May 1981.
