Revisiting an Oscar Classic

“You’re maudlin and full of self-pity,” Addison DeWitt tells Margo Channing midway through All About Eve. “You’re magnificent!” It might not be the most famous line in the 1951 best-picture winner—but, as Richard Lawson points out in the most recent episode of V.F.’s Little Gold Men podcast, it’s one of many that feels even funnier and more relevant today.
