DEEP IN MY HEART/ΒΑΘΕΙΑ ΜΕΣ ΤΗΝ ΚΑΡΔΙΑ ΜΟΥ

Deep in My Heart
MGM, 1954, Color, 132 minutes, ***½
Released December, 1954

Musical biography of Sigmund Romberg (Johann Sebastian Romberg, 1887-1951), one of the most prolific and successful American musical composers, with over 2000 songs to his credit and more than 80 musical scores. Ferrer's "Jazza-Do" one man show is unforgettable, as is Helen Traubel's singing. Traubel and Ferrer dance "The Leg of Mutton," (a true classic scene), Gene Kelly and his brother - in their only screen appearance together - "Go Swimmin' with Wimmen," and Jane Powell and Vic Damone sing a beautiful rendition of "Will You Remember (Sweetheart)." Many other great musical numbers too.
