'Harry Potter' fim studio to launch tours

Harry Potter fans got a chance to enter the hallowed kingdom of their favorite wizard, in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando. That attraction has been a smash hit with visitors.

Soon, tourists will be able to visit the British studios where Harry Potter films unfolded, according to an Associated Press report. Warner Bros. plans to start tours of Potter sets at Leavesden Studios north of London March 31.

Here's what you'll see, according to AP: props, dorms, classrooms and the Great Hall of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hagrid's hut and 4 Privet Drive. Note to the uninitiated: That is the address of the home of Potter's Muggle (non-wizard) relatives, the Dursleys. An additional attraction: some special effects used in the eight movies. Insiders have said the sets have all sorts of interesting details you may not notice in the films.

Tickets go on sale Oct. 13 -- about $40 for adults and $30 for kids.
Warner Bros. also is running a Harry Potter sweepstakes, with grand prize being a trip to Orlando's Wizarding World.
