Carole King, the longtime singer-songwriter, has written her first memoir, her publisher, Grand Central Publishing, said on Monday. The memoir, “A Natural Woman,” is scheduled for release in April 2012.
Deb Futter, the editor in chief of the hardcover division for Grand Central Publishing, an imprint of the Hachette Book Group, said in a statement, “It will be a thrill to bring her life’s journey to her devoted following who have waited so long to read her story in prose.” The book will chart Ms. King’s upbringing in Brooklyn and her career as a songwriter and musician.
