As the Trump administration orders bans on Chinese tech companies such as Tik Tok and WeChat, officials and civic groups have growing concerns about the influence China has over Hollywood.

On Aug. 10, 1977, serial killer David Berkowitz, known as the “Son of Sam,” is arrested. For more than a year, he terrorized New York City, killing at least six and wounding several others. Because he targeted young, attractive women with long brown hair, many women cut their hair or stayed home while he was at large. After his arrest, Berkowitz, who was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic, told officers his neighbor’s Black Labrador, Sam, had ordered him to kill people. He received six 25-years-to-life sentences.
The White House and top Democratic lawmakers sparred Sunday over President Donald Trump’s executive orders to extend expired benefits to tens of millions of American workers left unemployed by the coronavirus pandemic and defer payroll taxes for many workers.
Brenda Cienfuegos is part of a growing group flexing its muscle in America’s democratic process. U.S. Census data compiled by the Pew Research Center shows more than 23 million naturalized citizens will be eligible to vote in the 2020 presidential elections, which is about 10% of the electorate.

VIDEO: Meet Cynthia Reyes whose family has been living a nightmare. Reyes recently lost her father to COVID-19. Then, the 35-year old who has diabetes, asthma and rheumatoid arthritis, also got the virus. Reyes lives in California’s Imperial County, a farming region along the Mexican border with one of the state’s highest coronavirus infection rates.
