StoryCorps: Kay Wang, 87, had a reputation for being strong-willed. The grandmother shares stories with her son and granddaughter about disobeying her mother and rebuffing suitors while growing up in China, as well as later-in-life adventures as a detective for a US department store.
VIDEO:  VOA contributor Greta Van Susteren interviews Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of NIAID, about how medical officials and authorities are able to contain Ebola outbreaks and the changes in behavior necessary to do so.
VIDEO: Republican and Democratic lawmakers took to the field Thursday night for the annual congressional charity baseball game. It fell on the first anniversary of a shooting spree at a practice last year that almost killed U.S. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise .

Growing up, Timothy “Twix” Ward’s family recognized something special about him. “It wasn’t until I got older that I knew who I was, that I was different from everyone else,” said the member of the  San Carlos Apache Tribe in Arizona .

President Donald Trump took the unusual step Friday of taking several questions from reporters outside the White House, and defended his actions on North Korea and immigration while mounting a fresh attack on the Russia probe led by special counsel Robert Mueller.
