LADY GAGA STAYS TOP OF UK ALBUM CHART

Lady Gaga has held on to the top spot in the UK album chart with her second studio album, Born This Way.

The singer's record kept Adele's 21 at bay for a second week. Its debut produced the best first week album sales of the year so far.

Adele's first album, 19, remained at number three.

Fourth place went to a new entry from US duo the Pierces, while Jessie J's Who Are You crept up from six to five.

Pitbull's Give Me Everything, featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, remained at number one in the singles chart for the third week running.

The only new entry in the top 40 singles chart was Alex Gaudino's track, What a Feeling, featuring new X Factor judge, Kelly Rowland.

The song debuted at number six.

Adele's Someone Like You was placed at number 20, now in its 19th week on the chart.
