- What’s happening? The FDA is considering approving the use of the drug, also known as ecstasy, to treat post-traumatic stress disorder, which affects millions of Americans.
- What it means: Yesterday’s nonbinding recommendation dealt a blow to what could be the first psychedelic treatment the agency approves.

- The rankings: Dr Pepper joined Pepsi to become the nation’s second-best-selling soda, a trade publication reported this week. Both still trail Coke.
- A mysterious drink: We don’t know whether the soda was named after a real doctor, what the “23 flavors” actually are, or if it tastes better hot. But it’s clearly doing something right.
