Qatar Airways Grounds 13 A350s Citing Flaws, Re-activate A330s
In June, Qatar Airways paused deliveries of Airbus A350 aircraft, citing a flaw in which surfaces below the paint were degrading “at an accelerated rate”.
Today in a statement issued by the airline, Qatar Airways has mentioned that they have, following the explicit written instruction of its regulator, now grounded thirteen Airbus A350 aircraft; effectively removing them from service, until such time as the root cause can be established and a satisfactory solution made available to permanently correct the underlying condition. 2 A350-1000s and 11 A350-900s are involved.
US Plans to Require COVID Vaccine For Foreign Travellers
On Wednesday, a White House official said the administration was looking to reopen in a "safe and sustainable manner"; adding that foreign nationals travelling to the United States from all countries "need to be fully vaccinated".
The unnamed official told several news agencies that the Biden administration had tasked inter-agency groups with creating a phased reopening for international visitors. No timeline for the decision was given.

Video: The Big Problem With Middle East Carriers – A Surprise Winner!
Passenger numbers are rising this summer. It is great to see many flights are back in the sky! But in the Middle East, the market dynamic has been very different among the ME3 carriers which is Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Etihad.
The competition has always been fierce in the Middle East, the Persian Gulf carriers rely on connecting traffic heavily, their model is built by carrying passengers between the east and west. There are a few things really against the ME3 carriers.
In the video, the aviation analyst explains the problem these carriers face. The video gives the latest update and analysis from Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad. Etihad will be introducing A350-1000 into their fleet shortly.
