Introducing Love Is a Crime
Karina Longworth has spent years investigating “the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century” in her must-listen podcast, You Must Remember This—and now she’s teamed up with V.F. and filmmaker Vanessa Hope for a new audio project all about a particularly torrid affair. On Tuesday, August 17, we’re launching the first episode of Love Is a Crime, a 10-episode series that explores the tangled relationship between big-screen femme fatale Joan Bennett and her film-producer husband, Walter Wanger. And while Longworth and Hope created, wrote, and host the show, theirs won’t be the only voices you hear on it: They’re joined by a starry voice cast, including Zooey Deschanel as Joan and Jon Hamm as Walter.
