Dressing the Black Sheep of the Royal Family |
Polish your tiaras and fetch your bangers and mash, this week marks the premiere of the fifth season of The Crown. This season, which covers the final bows for both then Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage, as well as the tragic end to Diana’s life, treads a familiar time period: the ’90s. Diana is remembered for so many things, but her fashion, much of which is back in vogue now, is certainly on the list. Vanity Fair’s Julie Miller spoke with The Crown costumer Amy Roberts about designing for the TV version of the People’s Princess, what she changed, and what looks she needed to recreate down to the very last button and bead. |
