The Best Regional TV Programmes and Skills in the Year of COVID 20th January 2021 - Today we start the search for the best programming, content and skills created and displayed by Europe’s regional public service broadcasters and media operatorsduring a most disruptive year. There seems little doubt that the sadness and stress of the year of Covid-19 will be reflected in what the judges will view when they gather later this year. But there is hope too. Tragedies and the chaos can offer opportunities for perceptive reporting and opportunities for arts and drama to reflect as well as for factual content inform. There will be evidence of new ways of serving audiences and chances for newcomers to make their mark also.  More than 45,000 euros are there to be won in a package of cash, trophy, travel and accommodation (when health and safety permit) for winners and commended entries across 11 categories and a Grand Prix for the “best of the best”. As usual, it is also about the honour and prestige of winning. Entry is free and is restricted to those broadcasters and media operators who are members of CIRCOM Regional’s 230 stations in 29 states of Europe.
