What to know: At least eight lawsuits headed to trial in the coming year involve fatal or serious crashes that occurred when drivers were allegedly relying on the driving assistance technology. What they claim: That Tesla exaggerates the feature’s capabilities, leading to crashes. Federal regulators have identified 467 crashes linked to the technology, 13 of them fatal. How fast? Sea levels are at least 6 inches higher than they were in 2010 at 12 points from Texas to North Carolina. The rise around the Gulf of Mexico is twice the global average rate.
