HeCrashed
He worked. He crashed. He burned. Today, Jared Leto joins V.F.’s Little Gold Men podcast to talk about playing WeWork cofounder Adam Neumann in the Apple TV+ limited series WeCrashed. Shows about big talkers (or out-and-out grifters) have made for a dynamic subgenre this year, and Neumann’s rise and fall is among the most gripping. Leto says that even now many people who crossed paths with the entrepreneur can’t shake his almost cult-like appeal: “I talked to CEOs of some of the biggest companies in the world that met Adam or had meetings with him or knew him, and still said, after all that was said and done, [that] he was one of the most compelling and charismatic and confident people they had ever met.”
Elsewhere in Hollywood today, Anthony Breznican weighs in on the reassuringly peaceful vibes of last week’s Star WarsCelebration; Sarah Jessica Parker talks about the Kim Cattrall of it all; Jada Pinkett Smith dives into the recent cultural firestorm known as the slap; and the beloved series Our Flag Means Death gets a second season.
