The End of Etihad’s A380, The Residence and First Class Apartments

Unwelcome news about the Etihad A380 came earlier this week, in an interview published by The National News with Etihad Airways CEO Tony Douglas. Of their 10 Airbus A380 superjumbos, Mr Douglas said: “We have now taken the strategic decision to park the A380s, I'm sure it's very likely that we won't see them operating with Etihad […]

Trip Report: Delta One B767-400 Las Vegas to Atlanta

There are more widebody airplanes now deployed on US domestic hub and dense routes as international travel is very restricted. Delta has been using their B767-400 flying between Las Vegas and Atlanta (also between Atlanta and Salt Lake City or Orlando) I rarely fly on Delta given I am a mostly United flyer in the […]

The Struggle of Becoming a Pilot – Story of Captain Faraz Sheikh

Faraz Sheikh was born in London but partially brought up in East Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. Like many others, he caught that aviation bug from a very young age. He boarded a Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet with his father at the age of six on his way to London for a family holiday. It was […]

Interview With Former Etihad Airport Manager Henry Sia

Henry Sia was the airport manager of Etihad Airways in Sydney and later in Abu Dhabi. He was responsible to set up many Etihad's overseas outstations from scratch in as short as 2 weeks as the airline were expanding fast. I first met Henry in Jan 2011 at Sydney Airport. It was during my first […]

Video: Is Delta the Best US Airline? My Flight on Delta B767-400 & B757

I recently flew on Delta B767-400 from Las Vegas to Atlanta. The Delta B767-400 has a refurbished cabin with Delta One Suite, Premium Select and Comfort + fitted. Before takeoff, the cabin was thoroughly cleaned. The Delta pilot gave a briefing about the unique aircraft type; B767-400 which is a stretched B767 with some B777 components and similarity in the cockpit.

I discovered the latest service offering onboard Delta Airlines. They're serving only box snacks with limited beverage options (water, beer and wine).

During my transit in Atlanta, I discovered the current offering in Delta Sky Club. My next Delta flight was on a B757-200 from Atlanta to Orlando. An incident happened on the jetbridge during the boarding. An elderly lady is feeling unwell on the jetbridge and the cabin crew at the door were first to assist before paramedics arrived. The crew did a great job to recover the situation (which could have gone wrong very quickly without fast attendance)

It is not an everyday situation but I happened to catch the crew's reaction to the incident. Well done to the crew on handling such situations calmly and professionally. My flight to Orlando was eventless but it is good to see Delta keep their older planes up-to-date.
