1980Three songs into Led Zeppelin's concert in Nuremberg, drummer John Bonham collapses while beating out the rhythm to "Black Dog" and is rushed to the hospital, abruptly ending the show. Robert Plant jokes that he ate too many bananas before the show, but alcohol is the likely culprit. In September, Bonham dies after a night of drinking.

Lamb Of God Singer Arrested For Manslaughter

In what is probably the only case of a musician being said to cause someone's death while performing onstage, police in Czechoslovakia arrest Randy Blythe, frontman for heavy metal band Lamb of God, for manslaughter.
The arrest alleges that when Blythe pushed a fan off the stage during a 2010 concert, said fan hit his head and died from the injury two weeks later. Blythe is blindsided by the arrest: the band is in Czechoslovakia for a show the next night (which is cancelled), and when Blythe is arrested, he learns for the first time that there is a warrant out for him. He spends five weeks in a Czech prison, where he writes two songs - "512" and "Still Echoes" - before being released on bail. He returns to face charges the following year and in March is acquitted.
