If you watch The White Lotus this season, you’ve seen a whole lot of Theo James. Both in acting range and physical body. In the first episode of the season, he strips down in the hotel room of Aubrey Plaza’s character. “We’re all animals interested in the carnal and fascinated by desire—that scene was very specifically written and then talked about with Mike [White] and I and Aubrey,” James tells Vanity Fair. Sex and sexuality is a major theme in the show this season, and James is very deliberate about playing with his image as a hunk, forged in the fires of the Divergent series and other roles.
