Beyoncé Breaks Twitter With Baby Bump

Beyoncé reveals her pregnancy during the MTV Video Music Awards, setting Twitter on fire.
After performing "Love On Top," she drops the mic, opens her blazer and rubs her baby bump. The crowd goes wild as the director cuts to the father, Jay-Z, who is being congratulated by Kanye West.

The news gets tweeted out at a record pace - 8,868 tweets per second, which the Guinness Book of World Records certifies as the most tweets per second recorded for a single event.

There are also some awards given out: Beyoncé's video for "Run the World (Girls)" is nominated for three awards and takes home the Best Choreography prize. Katy Perry receives ten nominations for four different videos. She wins three awards including Video of the Year for "Firework."

Justin Bieber wins the Best Male Video Award for "U Smile," and Adele gives a stunning live performance of her song "Someone Like You." Her music video for "Rolling In the Deep" is nominated for seven awards and takes home four, all in technical categories. Britney Spearsreceives the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard lifetime achievement award (named for the King of Pop). She is nominated for two regular awards and wins Best Pop Video for "Till The World Ends."
