Touchy subjects are practically built into the DNA of The Crown—who can forget the implication-but-not-quite-accusation that Prince Philip may have had a dalliance with a Russian ballerina? But even by the standards of The Crown,the upcoming season covering the divorce of Princess Diana and future King Charles will be a doozy. There’s the question of how the show will handle Diana’s death in a Paris car crash, a scene that reportedly has the entire production “slightly on edge.” As the source put it, “I mean, there’s bombshell sensitivity surrounding this one.” And then there’s the matter of Charles, Camilla, and the tampon; we’ll let our own Savannah Walsh explain what’s going on with that one.
