|
On Feb. 26, 1993, Islamic terrorists explode a truck bomb in the basement of the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. The plan was to knock the north tower into the south tower, and while that didn’t happen, six people were killed, and over 1,000 were injured. The perpetrators received financing from long-time terrorist Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who is considered the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. He was arrested in 2003 in his home country of Pakistan. |
