Jacques Demy's valentine to the classic Hollywood musical is one of the most beloved romantic movies of all time. Every word of dialogue is sung in this glorious masterpiece starring the ravishing Catherine Deneuve as Geneviève, a shop assistant in Love with Guy (Nino Castelnuovo), a gas station mechanic. Their ill-fated love story unfolds to Academy Award winner Michel Legrand's enchanting score, which features the Oscar-nominated song "I Will Wait for You."

A truly enchanting and bittersweet love story set against the backdrop of Algeria's uprising against France, and the resulting affect on those at home. The haunting melody of the hit song "I Will Wait for You" is entwined throughout the score. A definite must-see!
