The Trump administration is scrambling to explain reports that it lost track of almost 1,500 immigrant children who came to the United States as unaccompanied minors. Since the story first broke in late April, public outrage has increased over these ‘missing children.’ The story has given rise to some confusion. Here’s what we know about what happened to the kids in question.
ON THIS DAY IN AMERICAN HISTORY
On May 30, 1899, one of the last recorded stagecoach robberies in the United States is committed by Pearl Hart, a female outlaw in America’s Old West. Hart cut her hair short and dressed in men’s clothing before the robbery, which she committed with an accomplice named Joe Boot. They were caught and Hart was sentenced to five years in jail but was pardoned after two. (Photo: Pearl Hart at the Yuma Territorial Prison in Arizona in 1899.)
About 310,000 people could lose their ability to live and work legally in the US over the next 18 months. The change comes as the Trump administration ends the humanitarian Temporary Protected Status program for several nations impacted by armed conflict or natural disasters. But where those TPS beneficiaries will end up once their status expires is anyone’s guess.
VIDEO: Possibly the only thing more difficult than being transgender in Pakistan is being an aging trans person in the conservative country. With even fewer job prospects than their younger counterparts, elder transgender people don’t have many options in a society that largely shuns them. That’s why one older transgender woman decided to take matters into her own hands.

Along with nutritional counseling, they’ll receive a personalized diet delivered straight to their doorstep.
Forget about retirement. At 92-years-old, Malaysia’s new leader is ready to get to work. During his previous 22-year rule, Mahathir Mohamad built the small former British colony into one of Asia’s proudest economic powerhouses, only to see his nation rocked by corruption scandals . After a stunning electoral upset over Prime Minister Najib Razak, Mahathir has his eye on reform.
