| Welcome to Royal Watch. King Charles and Queen Camilla will soon be getting ready for their state visit to Italy - a trip that coincides with their 20th wedding anniversary. But there has been a note of caution, with the King suffering side effects from his cancer treatment last week. Meanwhile, the row over Prince Harry's charity seems to be worsening. A new theatre production will tell the story of the last Welsh-born Prince of Wales. And the current Princess of Wales chose to honour Mother Nature on Mothering Sunday in the UK. | |

A reminder of Charles's health challenges | It was something of a reality check when news broke unexpectedly that King Charles had required a short stay in hospital after suffering side effects from his cancer treatment. The King has looked resilient and upbeat despite his cancer diagnosis more than a year ago. He doesn't want to be defined by his illness and has remained one of the busiest royals, with a full diary of official engagements. So, it can be easy to sometimes forget his ongoing health challenges.
| The message from Buckingham Palace has been one of reassurance; this was a minor setback in an otherwise positive picture of his health. It was described as a "bump in the road". |

Credit: PA | There was no drama about this hospital trip, with the King arriving by car and not ambulance. And the late-night announcement was a way of keeping ahead of the news narrative by being transparent about what had happened, rather than setting rumours running with a hurried cancellation of a visit the next morning. |

World heptathlon champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson, who became an MBE, said the King was looking "fit and well". But it was a reminder that the King, aged 76, is still having to balance his cancer treatment with the demands of his working life. Next week we'll see him at his most intensive event of the year so far, on the state visit to Italy. |

Row at Harry's charity gets personal | The bitter boardroom bust-up over Sentebale, the charity co-founded by Prince Harry in 2006, shows no sign of abating. Instead, allegations have become increasingly personal. And now the UK's Charity Commission has announced an investigation.
Prince Harry said the dispute had been "heartbreaking to witness". Speaking on behalf of the former trustees and patrons, he welcomed the watchdog's investigation, saying it would be a "robust inquiry", which "we fully expect will unveil the truth that collectively forced us to resign".
| Sentebale chair Sophie Chandauka says the "toxicity" of Prince Harry's "brand" had become the "number one risk" for the charity. She has complained of harassment and bullying, as trustees tried to remove her from her role. |

Whatever has happened behind the scenes, in public it's been a sad spectacle for a project approaching its 20th anniversary, which has done much to help disadvantaged children in southern Africa. |

A Welsh Prince of Wales | The actor Michael Sheen, who starred as Prince Andrew in a recent Amazon film about the infamous BBC Newsnight interview, is taking on the role of another prince: Owain Glyndŵr.
The play, Owain and Henry, is one of the first productions announced by the Welsh National Theatre. It tells the story of this medieval, Welsh-born prince who rebelled against English rule in Wales in the 15th Century. |
