More media to join CIRCOM Regional
Ukraine’s public service television Suspilne Ukraine is the newest member of CIRCOM Regional. This is one of the biggest and most influential media in the country. At its November meeting the European Board of CIRCOM Regional accepted Suspilne’s application to join the professional association of European regional televisions. While being the Ukraine’s public service media with national coverage, the media has also regional branches in many of the provinces.
Also, the Valencian Media Corporation (Corporació Valenciana de Mitjans de Comunicació, CVMC), the public service broadcaster in Valencia, Spain, joined CIRCOM Regional. With CVMC becoming member of CIRCOM Regional this was the final step to gather all the Spanish regional public service media in our association.
Training – It’s the climate, people!
Climate issues and solutions was the theme of a dedicated workshop for CIRCOM Regional journalists covering climate change. It was held 12-14 November at the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels, Belgium. Led by the French investigative journalist and experienced trainer Sophie Roland the training offered a comprehensive set of skills, techniques and approaches to tackling environmental issues. It also helped develop an understanding how to deal with climate issues with the means of solutions based journalism. The workshop was just on time as it coincided with the COP-29 Global forum on climate, held 11-22 November in Baku, Azerbaijan.

New Prix CIRCOM cycle to be launched in December
The new competition cycle of Prix CIRCOM will be launched in Mid December. Traditionally the strongest and most cherished competition for professionals in regional televisions across Europe, this platform opens its doors even wider. There will be new opportunities to take part in it.
Reminder: CIRCOM Reflections With Focus On Audiences
