Zero Waste Cities: Το όραμα της Coca-Cola για πόλεις με «μηδενικά απορρίμματα», ξεκινά από την Θεσσαλονίκη

Ξεκινά στη Θεσσαλονίκη, το όραμα της Coca-Cola για πόλεις με μηδενικά απορρίμματα

Ξυπνώντας σήμερα το πρωί, πιθανόν να σας πήρε περίπου μια ώρα να ετοιμαστείτε. Βουρτσίσατε τα δόντια σας, ετοιμάσατε πρωινό και μετά ντυθήκατε. Κάποιοι από εσάς πήγατε τα παιδιά σας στο σχολείο, κάποιοι κάνατε μια γρήγορη επανάληψη για το διαγώνισμα,  ενώ κάποιοι άλλοι απαντήσατε στα e-mails σας.

Ανεξάρτητα όμως από το τι κάνατε την ώρα αυτή, ένα πράγμα είναι σίγουρο: σε μία ώρα, 900 τόνοι πλαστικών απορριμμάτων αφέθηκαν στην ύπαιθρο και στους ωκεανούς αυτού του πλανήτη, δηλαδή περίπου ο όγκος 600 αυτοκινήτων μεσαίου τύπου.

Το πρόγραμμα Zero Waste Cities της Coca-Cola ξεκινάει από την Θεσσαλονίκη

Μπροστά σε αυτό το μεγάλο, παγκόσμιο πρόβλημα η Coca-Cola, δε μένει απαθής. Θέλοντας να είναι μέρος της λύσης μετατρέπει την προστασία του περιβάλλοντος και τη μείωση του πλαστικού σε βασικό άξονα της παγκόσμιας στρατηγικής υπεύθυνης ανάπτυξής της, για τα επόμενα χρόνια.

Συγκεκριμένα, στην παγκόσμια σύνοδο στο Νταβός 2018, η Coca-Cola δεσμεύτηκε να δουλέψει για έναν Κόσμο Χωρίς Απορρίμματα (World Without Waste) και έθεσε ένα φιλόδοξο στόχο: μέχρι το 2030 να ανακυκλώνει το ισοδύναμο του 100% των συσκευασιών που διαθέτει στην αγορά και οι συσκευασίες της να περιέχουν, κατά μέσο όρο, 50% ανακυκλώσιμη πρώτη ύλη. Παράλληλα, δεσμεύτηκε να κάνει την ανακύκλωση προσβάσιμη σε όλους.

Οι πόλεις αποτελούν κρίσιμο παράγοντα για να γίνει πράξη το όραμα World Without Waste, αφού συγκεντρώνουν μεγάλες πληθυσμιακές ομάδες και επιβαρύνουν περισσότερο.

Έτσι δημιουργήθηκε στην Ελλάδα η ιδέα του προγράμματος Zero Waste Cities. Πρόκειται για ένα πρόγραμμα που παρακινεί στη λήψη μέτρων για σχεδιασμό πρακτικών που ελαχιστοποιούν ή μηδενίζουν τον όγκο και την τοξικότητα των απορριμμάτων που καταλήγουν στο χώμα, το νερό και τον αέρα, μολύνοντας τους κύκλους της ζωής.

Αυτό μπορεί να γίνει μόνο με την υιοθέτηση των αρχών της κυκλικής οικονομίας και της αντιμετώπισης των απορριμμάτων ως πόρους, δηλαδή ως υλικά που έχουν ακόμα αξία, μπορούν να ανακυκλωθούν και μπορούν να έχουν μια δεύτερη ή τρίτη ζωή.

Η Coca-Cola επιλέγει τη Θεσσαλονίκη ως τη πρώτη πόλη στην Ευρώπη για την εφαρμογή του προγράμματος Zero Waste Cities, με στόχο να γίνει η πρώτη πόλη μηδενικών απορριμμάτων στην Ελλάδα

Η Θεσσαλονίκη είναι μία πόλη που έχει διαμορφωμένη κουλτούρα ανακύκλωσης, αφού ανακυκλώνει πολύ περισσότερο από τον πανελλήνιο μέσο όρο. Παράλληλα, είναι μία πόλη με πολλούς φοιτητές, ζωντανή, δυναμική, νεανική, ανοιχτή στην καινοτομία.

Το λανσάρισμα του προγράμματος έγινε στην φετινή ΔΕΘ, όπου περισσότεροι από 30.000 επισκέπτες πέρασαν από την ειδικά διαμορφωμένη γωνιά του περιπτέρου της Coca-Cola και ενημερώθηκαν για το πρόγραμμα Zero Waste Cities, ενώ είχαν τη δυνατότητα να εξοικειωθούν με την εφαρμογή της δράσης «Print Your City», η οποία το επόμενο χρονικό διάστημα θα βρίσκετε στη διάθεση των Θεσσαλονικέων, και μέσω της οποίας θα μπορούν να ομορφύνουν τις γειτονιές τους με την επιλογή και δημιουργία επίπλων πόλης από ανακυκλωμένο πλαστικό.

Τι περιλαμβάνει το πρόγραμμα Zero Waste Cities – Θεσσαλονίκη

Το πρόγραμμα εστιάζει σε 3 πυλώνες α) Παρέμβαση β) Εκπαίδευση και γ) Αλλαγή συμπεριφοράς, καθένας εκ των οποίων περιλαμβάνει μία σειρά από δράσεις που θα υλοποιηθούν σε έναν ορίζοντα 3 χρόνων και έχουν ως βασική προϋπόθεση τη συνεργασία με την τοπική κοινωνία: το Δήμο, τους τοπικούς φορείς, τους πολίτες. Μερικές από τι δράσεις είναι:

• το «Σχέδιο Πρόληψης για τη Θεσσαλονίκη», που αναμένεται να ολοκληρωθεί πριν το τέλος του 2018, και είναι το πρώτο ολοκληρωμένο πλάνο πρόληψης απορριμμάτων που υλοποιείται στην Ελλάδα.
• το πρόγραμμα «Ανακυκλώνω στην παραλία», ένα υποδειγματικό πρόγραμμα ενημέρωσης για την ανακύκλωση και συλλογή απορριμμάτων σε παραλίες και παραθαλάσσιες περιοχές που συγκεντρώνουν μεγάλο αριθμό επισκεπτών, ιδιαίτερα τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες. Ειδικά στη Θεσσαλονίκη, το πρόγραμμα υλοποιείται κατά μήκος της Νέας Παραλίας και έχει ήδη εξαιρετικά αποτελέσματα. Εκτιμάται ότι στο τέλος του προγράμματος θα έχουν συγκεντρωθεί στη Θεσσαλονίκη περισσότερα από 90.000 κιλά υλικών, ενώ θα έχουν ενημερωθεί 90.000 άτομα για την ανακύκλωση.
• το «πρότυπο διαδραστικό κέντρο ανακύκλωσης και ενημέρωσης», θα ανοίξει τις πόρτες του στο τέλος Οκτώβρη, και για τέσσερις μήνες οι κάτοικοι της Θεσσαλονίκης θα ενημερώνονται για την ανακύκλωση και τις αρχές της κυκλικής οικονομίας, ενώ θα παρακολουθούν ζωντανά τη μετατροπή ανακυκλωμένου πλαστικού σε έπιπλα πόλης, με τη χρήση της ρομποτικής 3D εκτύπωσης.
• το 2019 αλλά και το 2020 θα υλοποιηθεί εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα για σχολεία, 2019-2020.
• ενώ το ίδιο χρονικό διάστημα, στο πρόγραμμα εντάσσεται η δημιουργία του πρώτου Zero Waste Σχολείου, αλλά και του πρώτου Zero Waste Πανεπιστημίου σε συνεργασία με τους αρμόδιους φορείς αλλά και την τοπική αυτοδιοίκηση.
• Τέλος, η δράση «Print Your City», που στόχο έχει να δείξει στην πράξη τις εφαρμογές των ανακυκλωμένων υλικών. Η συγκεκριμένη δράση εφαρμόζεται για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, στην πόλη της Θεσσαλονίκης και για πρώτη φορά παγκόσμια, σε κλίμακα μίας ολόκληρης πόλης και χρησιμοποιεί την τεχνολογία της 3D εκτύπωσης για να μετατρέψει τα πλαστικά απορρίμματα σε έπιπλα για δημόσιους χώρους. Ήδη έχουν τοποθετηθεί στη Νέα Παραλία Θεσσαλονίκης τα 10 πρώτα 3D έπιπλα, για την παραγωγή των οποίων χρησιμοποιήθηκαν 300 κιλά ανακυκλωμένου πλαστικού.

Ο επόμενος σταθμός της δράσης είναι να δημιουργηθεί, μέχρι το τέλος του 2018, η πρώτη «Print Your City» γειτονιά, τον επόμενο χρόνο ακόμα 3 γειτονιές και αργότερα να επεκταθεί και σε άλλες πόλεις της Ελλάδας.

Η δράση «Print Your City»

Μάλιστα, μέσα στις επόμενες ημέρες, θα είναι διαθέσιμη για τους κατοίκους της Θεσσαλονίκης μία εφαρμογή, με την οποία θα μπορούν, από τον υπολογιστή ή το κινητό τους, να επιλέξουν τις γειτονιές της πόλης τους και τα έπιπλα που θέλουν να σχεδιαστούν και να τοποθετηθούν σε αυτές, ανακυκλώνοντας τα πλαστικά τους απορρίμματα.

«Σε αυτό το ταξίδι, πολύτιμοι συνταξιδιώτες είναι ο Δήμος Θεσσαλονίκης, που αγκάλιασε με ενθουσιασμό την πρωτοβουλία μας και οι στρατηγικοί συνεργάτες μας, η Οικολογική Εταιρεία Ανακύκλωσης και η ομάδα The New Raw, που ξεκίνησαν μαζί μας, αλλά και οι άλλοι που θα ακολουθήσουν. Τίποτα όμως, δεν γίνεται αν οι ίδιοι οι Θεσσαλονικείς δεν πιστέψουν σε αυτό το όραμα. Είμαι σίγουρη ότι όλοι μαζί θα τα καταφέρουμε», Σίσσυ Ηλιοπούλου, Διευθύντρια Επικοινωνίας και εταιρικών υποθέσεων Coca-Cola για Ελλάδα, Κύπρο και Μάλτα.

Ακόμη και το λογότυπο του προγράμματος Zero Waste Cities της Coca-Cola σέβεται το περιβάλλον!

Ένα λογότυπο που έχει στόχο να εμπνεύσει και να προσκαλέσει σε συμμετοχή για μία πόλη χωρίς απορρίμματα, θα πρέπει το ίδιο πρώτα να αποπνέει τις αρχές της βιωσιμότητας. Έτσι το λογότυπο Zero Waste Cities σχεδιάστηκε ώστε να είναι και το ίδιο βιώσιμο, καθώς χρησιμοποιεί γραμματοσειρές που καταναλώνουν λιγότερο μελάνι, άρα λιγότερους πόρους.

Rapper Kanye West is changing his name - to Ye.

Announcing the change on Twitter on Saturday, he wrote: "The being formally [sic] known as Kanye West. I am YE."

West, 41, has been nicknamed Ye for some time and used the moniker as the title for his eighth album, which was released in June.

The change came ahead of his appearance on Saturday Night Live, where he was expected to launch his new album Yandhi.

He replaced singer Ariana Grande on the show who cancelled for "emotional reasons", the show's creator said.

As well as being an abbreviation of his current professional name, West has previously said the word has religious significance for him. 

"I believe 'ye' is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible it means 'you,'" West said earlier this year, discussing his album title with radio host Big Boy.

"So I'm you, I'm us, it's us. It went from Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye - just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused, everything. The album is more of a reflection of who we are."

Tarplin also worked with Marvin Gaye, The Marvelettes and The Supremes.

2016, A schoolboy from Philadelphia who skipped class to meet his musical hero handed his teacher an absence note with a difference.
